This month’s USDA Food Distribution was held by the California Valley Miwok Tribe on November, Monday, the 14th, 2022. Great day, good weather, large distribution and all the needs for an abundance of holiday foods were included in this distribution along with the staples of foods that are commonplace in month to month deliveries.
The first discussion about how the Bureau of Indian Affairs plans to murder the tribes sovereignty, disenroll all current member’s, enroll anyone of their choosing against the will and guidelines of the tribe’s enrollment process, recreate a government to their liking that will appease them and then knowing their place will work with casino developers who the department is already bought and paid for by is just around the corner.
All of this During Native American Heritage Month by the department entrusted with working with and empowering self determination of federally recognized tribes.
The most blatant hypocrisy perpetuated in real time in the face of the nation by some of the most degenerate to ever staff a governmental department.
With a new congress we would be hopeful if this situation would not continue to be ignored. Maybe it would be helpful to defund the BIA or at least have a congressional oversight investigation as to their conduct?
Whatever happens we, although do not look forward to our day in court, “because it seems we are never really out of one due to two decades of the attempted theft and overthrowing of our tribe by the BIA” we know we once again must have our day in court as that is always the only choice they give us to take to ensure our survival.
Even with the negativity of the before mentioned, the tribe would like to thank the following for their government to government interaction’s with the tribe and the continued fulfillment of the tribe’s programs in which they service.
