Tribal Offices, Tribal Land, Avenida Central, La Grange, Ca. 95329

This month’s USDA Food Distribution was held on Tuesday the 16th of May, 2023.
This month was another great distribution and weather was only moderately warm with clear skies.
Water is abundant, lakes and aquifers back to capacities and rivers flowing, maybe flowing a little too much.
Still a lot of snowpack so maybe fire season will have some respite.
Much food was handed out and along with the usual variables, this month saw the addition of Sockeye Salmon.

BIA still in a holding pattern, of course they think they can do as they please with tribal sovereignty and no doubt are conniving in some backroom or in some back alley, but with what has and what will come back at them are now rethinking the steps they wish to take knowing no one, “legally” has to take this from them. Must be especially frustrating for Carol Rogers-Davis whose only skill set demonstrated is the undermining of tribal sovereignty.
With these local malcontents on the back burner the tribe has been able to do more over the last couple of months addressing needs and providing additional services to it’s citizen’s both young and old alike.

At this time the tribe would like to thank all those listed below for their support of the tribe in regards to this service and
other services provided by their individual departments when needed.

THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, CAL-OES, CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, FEMA, THE RED LAKE NATION OF MINNESOTA, THE TULE RIVER TRIBE, THE ENTITRE TULE RIVER FOOD DISTRIBUTION DEPARTMENT AND OUR GOOD FRIEND AND SERVICE PROVIDER RONALD BUCKMAN.

THANK YOU,
THE CALIFORNIA VALLEY MIWOK TRIBE
