The California Valley Miwok Tribe held the June USDA Food Distribution on Monday, the 15th, 2020. This was another great and badly needed distribution to help off set the need for participating tribal citizens to leave home as often to shop and to off set the lack of local BIA officials fulfilling their obligations to federally recognized citizens of the tribe.
The USDA Food Program currently implemented and serviced through the Tule River Tribe is looking to strengthen their commitment of services to tribes currently participating in the program by hiring additional personnel for deliveries and warehousing.
We commend them on their continued efforts to implement and service a program that strengthens and sustains the Native American community as a whole.
