On January 06, 2015, the California Valley Miwok Tribe (CVMT) received a call from the Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia (located at 3014 Massachusetts Ave., Washington DC 20008) inviting the California Valley Miwok Tribe to send a delegate to an ancestral ceremonial inauguration of President Evo Morales Ayma, that will take place on Wednesday, January 21st in the ancient city of Tiwanaku. On Thursday, January 22nd President Morales will hold a meeting with indigenous leaders from all over the world and subsequently, during the evening, there will be a massive celebration in the Hernando Siles Olympic Stadium in the city of La Paz.

Following the received phone call, the Tribe received a faxed letter from the Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia inviting leaders, chiefs, and representatives of indigenous nations, tribes, and clans to the events and ceremonies of the inauguration of Bolivia’s first Indigenous President Evo Morales Ayma who was recently reelected by an overwhelming majority in October of 2014. The Embassy of Bolivia communicated that lodging and courtesy visas will be facilitated to assist indigenous delegations.

The California Valley Miwok Tribe respectfully sends our most heartfelt congratulations to Honorable President Evo Morales on his re-election. We would also like to thank the people of Bolivia and the Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia for extending such a kind and gracious invitation to our Tribe.
