The California Valley Miwok Tribe conducted this month’s distribution on Monday, August 16th, 2021. It was a slightly larger distribution due to a new applicant and although they were not able to attend, the tribe will coordinate delivery of their distribution.
It was moderate weather which made for a pleasant distribution and at the tribes location only a slight haze high in the upper atmosphere was evidence of the fires raging California.
The tribe prays for all those ravaged or currently at risk and knows personally of the devastation due to our own experience in March of 2015 and the fire that raged at 10601 Escondido Place in Stockton Ca.
We hope that all who have and who will suffer be granted whatever available assistance in putting their lives back together, although we know some things that are lost can never be replaced.
This distribution though was great and we were able to sign up another family with a need and address that need, and with all this bad news we are all dealing with every day, we wish to end this story on that positive note and wish the best for everyone who are currently battling Covid or the fires that are ravaging our state.
We would like to thank the United States Department of Agriculture, the Tule River Tribe, the Tule River Food Distribution Department and Ronald Buckman and Naz for their dedication to the program and the tribes that depend upon their deliveries.
