On Sunday, July 31st, 2022 the California Valley Miwok Tribe delivered this month’s distribution’s to its Food For Tribal Families Program Director, Mildred Burley.
Once again with the summer months, the distribution was very extensive with emphasis placed on outdoor grilling and snacks and various liquids for hydration.
Along with all the variables seen and not seen in picture there were a lot of frozen chicken, steak, hamburger and hotdogs for out door grilling along with various
condiments and various liquids for hydration. To give the necessities to those tribal citizens wishing to do outdoor grilling or picnicking taking advantage of our clear but very warm weather. Of course in trying to protect citizen’s with the resources at the tribe’s disposal also included was a resupply of Covid related supplies.
This again was a very complete delivery that was done thanks to various donations and personal purchases for the benefit of and to ensure the very well being of the federally recognized citizens of the California Valley Miwok Tribe, in direct defiance to the continuing nefarious actions perpetrated against them by the BIA.

In this video, California Valley Miwok Tribal Elder Mildred Burley speaks out against the latest infraction against tribal sovereignty being perpetrated against her tribe and it’s peoples by an ever aggressive overstepping BIA. This in another attempt to create U.S. government tribes out of tribes previously organized by tribal peoples that hold no favor with the BIA.
The BIA wholly mismanaged and poorly lead with a God complex think themselves better to handle the affairs of a federally recognized sovereign tribe and its citizens than the actual citizens themselves. This foolishness has gone on for two decades only being corrected when the law was properly applied for a few short months, before once again being rescinded due to outside interference by some of the highest elected officials and the richest corporate connections in the land. The tribe was actually assisted by the BIA in 1998 and modified their template in having a documented structure that for years was the basis of contracting with and exercising the government to government relationship between the two governments. This however was not the beginning as the tribe was recognized and by process organized in 1915. Termination unsuccessfully attempted in 1966 and then was put on the federal list of tribal entities in 1972 and every yearly list thereafter.
The tribe’s only issue came when an ex-Chairman was enticed by corporate interests to gain a casino and fraudulently signed contracts representing he was the only member. Upon discovering that misrepresentation individuals now deceased decided to not contact the tribe but to orchestrate some way to undermine the tribe, terminate it’s members and build their casino with the one individual that through documents obtained signed away all sovereignty which would have put himself an the tribe at the total mercy of investors. The BIA soon became involved and encouraged this type of behavior to undermine the tribes sovereignty and rights for it’s citizens to self-governance.
One has to wonder was their motivation personal, financial or somehow just misguided? All these original bad actors are long deceased but new one’s with money, politicians in their back pocket’s and resources and connections that the tribe has never had access to, continue to this day. One of the most powerful and prominent member’s of the U.S. SENATE, “Dianne Feinstein” has even been exposed and her involvement dates all the way back to 2006. It is her unscrupulous relationship with ex-District Attorney of San Francisco, “Arlo Smith” that first enticed her, perpetuating her and her deceased husband’s greed when presented with the second California Gold Rush at the expense of the tribe and her people’s.
The original group that she supported became disenfranchised with her, “friends” so she used government procedure’s available to her and had these non-natives thrown out of the process. Her, “friends” now have created another much smaller group of dissidents, individuals on public aid and or of meager means and she, her business partner’s and fellow conspirators are paying for them to be represented by, “Morgan Lewis” the 9th largest law firm in the world. It takes very deep pockets to pay for overpriced hay burners such as these.
Yet we are still here with only the truth as our security blanket waiting for the justice system to actually work the way it was intended and to quit catering to the rich, powerful and influential. As a testament if we were not as represented how could we have survived against some of the richest, most politically powerful, well connected individuals of devious intention’s to ever assault a small native tribe of modern times.
Never Has So Much Been Wrought By Those So Many Against Those So Few.
