Food For Tribal Families Director and Tribal Elder, "Mildred Burley" stands with this month's delivery. Mildred will spend the next few days distributing the food and additional clothing and toys donated this month.

On Thursday, November 29th, 2018, the tribe made this month’s delivery of support to its Food For Tribal Families, (FFTF) Director Mildred Burley. Mildred continues in good health and high spirits due to the continued community support for the tribe and also in part to activities and legal procedures that are progressing favorably for the tribe.

Mildred has expressed that she will continue to do her part in addressing her tribe’s needs, and where others have faltered, she shows no signs of slowing down.

In fact, a ramp was installed for Mildred because it was feared the way she would hurdle her old steps never slowing down at 81 years young. Even the previous Saturday with her team coveting the grand prize at the “Auburn Rancheria Handgame Tournament“, donating her share of the prize to her tribe in assisting them to keep all current tribal programs active.

This month saw the donations continue in abundance but also included, ( in the large box pictured ) jackets, warm clothing and toys for the tribes’ children. All items were new and donated by local organizations in conjunction with Walmart Stores Inc. and Morada and its surrounding communities.

For all those that help and for all those that have given compassionately,

We Thank You,

The California Valley Miwok Tribe
