California Valley Miwok tribal staffer Tiger Paulk speaks with Tule River Tribe staff & driver Ronald Buckman about current affairs as Mr. Buckman sorts and prepares allotments at the commencement of this month's food distribution.

On Tuesday, February 14th, 2017, the California Valley Miwok Tribe held its monthly “USDA Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations” (FDPIR).

A temporary break in the rainy weather aided Tule River and CVMT staff and volunteers in completing this month’s food distribution in a speedy and efficient manner.

Due to bad weather in the foothills, many participants were asked not to risk the adverse driving conditions, since there was enough storage space at the CVMT tribal office to store most participants’ allotments, which were picked up over the following days after the distribution.

We’re always happy to help in any way that we can, to accommodate the Native American community which depends upon the availability of this program.

For anyone interested in participating in the food distribution program, please don’t hesitate to contact the tribal office using the methods highlighted below, to receive more information.
