The California Valley Miwok Tribe located at 10601 Escondido Pl., Stockton CA (as listed in the federal register) held this months food distribution on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 (due to Monday the 6th being a holiday), between the hours of 1:00-2:30 pm. We again were thankful to see the San Joaquin Native American Veterans Lodge attend to help distribute the much needed food to the Native American families that depend on this program every month. Another service being provided in working with the official and federally recognized California Valley Miwok Tribe located at 10601 Escondido is the San Joaquin Native American Veterans are now also providing water to the distribution program to help enhance the successive distributions that follow ours throughout the month this was the enactment of one of last months topics of discussion and will now be a permanent addition in our food program.
The Tribe was also honored at the distribution by our Chairperson Silvia Burley being gifted the official National American Indian Veterans Warrior seal for her actions as Chairperson of the California Valley Miwok Tribe, along with the help of the Tribes’ members in support of all Native American Veterans and for the Tribe’s specific support of the San Joaquin Native American Veterans Lodge. A group of individuals whom have proudly served this country in its time of need and continue to serve within their communities today, we thank them, and the USDA, the Tule River Tribe and their food distribution department, and all the families whom keep the program vibrant with their continued attendance.
