The California Valley Miwok Tribe (located at 10601 N. Escondido PL, Stockton, CA, as listed in the Bureau of Indian Affairs’ BIA/DOI Spring 2011 Tribal Leaders Directory), a federally recognized tribe eligible to receive and distribute services from the federal government – On Wednesday, May 16th, 2012, the California Valley Miwok Tribe hosted its monthly USDA Food Distribution. The Tribe held some recipients food allotments at the Tribal Office for them to pick up later that evening.
The Tribe would like to thank the Tule River Rancheria and its USDA Food Distribution Program Director/Manager and staff; Mrs. Patricia Salas, her grandchildren and Mr. Ronald Buckman, for their assistance. The Tribe would also like to thank the San Joaquin Native Veterans Lodge for donating the bottled water that was distributed in with the food allotments.
