On Tuesday, December 11th, 2012, the California Valley Miwok Tribe held its monthly USDA Food Distribution. Ending the year on a cheerful note, the California Valley Miwok Tribe honored the Tule River Food Distribution Program with a CVMT “Tribal Acknowledgement of Recognition” for their “Humanitarian Endeavors in Meeting the Nutritional Needs of Indigenous Peoples”. On hand to accept the honor was Ms. Patricia Salas, Intake Manager, Mr. Jesus Salas, FDIR Staffer and FDIR Staffer & Driver, Mr. Ronald Buckman.
