The California Valley Miwok Tribe received a flyer from the California Indian Museum and Cultural Center (CIMCC) regarding two planned GIS Camps for Tribal Youth. This summer, the California Indian Museum and Cultural Center (CIMCC) will host two free GIS Camps for Tribal Youths.

What: Develop a new GIS exhibit of California Indian Country – Learn new skills in technology and research – Meet with tribal elders, scholars and professionals – Learn tribal, historical, cultural and language information – Meet and share new experiences with other Native youth – Discover upcoming community, educational and internship opportunities – Hike, play games and have fun!

When: Two Sessions – June 23 – 27, 2014 and August 4-8, 2014
Day Camps at CIMCC – Session 1: June 23 & 27, 2014, Session 2: August 4 & 8
KOA Cloverdate Camping Resort (overnight) – Session 1: June 24 – 26, 2014, and Session 2: August 5 – 7, 2014

Space is limited to 20 youth per session!
