On Tuesday, September 20th, 2016, the California Valley Miwok Tribe held its monthly “USDA Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations” (FDPIR).

We appreciated seeing and catching up on the news with those who were able to stop by this month!

For anyone interested in participating in the food distribution program, please don’t hesitate to contact the tribal office using the methods highlighted below, to receive more information.

About the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations:

Eligible participants of the USDA FDPIR program commonly receive items such as:

  • Packaged frozen meats
  • Canned meats, vegetables, fruits and soups
  • Dry packaged beans, rice, noodles and cereal
  • Dried fruits, nuts and crackers
  • Fresh and powdered dairy products such as cheese, milk and eggs
  • Assortment of fruit juices

Additionally, cookbooks containing recipes which can be prepared from the USDA FDPIR distributed foods are also available upon request, as supplies allow.
