On Tuesday, February 13th, 2018, the California Valley Miwok Tribe held its monthly USDA Food Distribution.
Each month, qualified participating households receive a USDA food allotment to help them maintain a nutritionally balanced diet. This month, many participating families were excited to once again receive packages of frozen ground bison.
Eligible participants of the USDA FDPIR program commonly receive items such as:
- Packaged frozen meats
- Canned meats, vegetables, fruits and soups
