On Monday April 20th, the California Valley Miwok Tribe delivered its monthly distribution to, ( Food For Tribal Families ), Director, Mildred Burley for distribution among the citizen families of the tribe.
The tribe was able to make up a shortfall due to implementations by Tule River as they instilled badly needed safety precautions due to the COVID 19 epidemic.
Although recipient tribes were given alternatives to still access their USDA distributions, this tribe, due to hardships placed upon it by the local offices of the BIA-CCA, had to improvise to address the needs of its citizens because of U.S. governmental chronic neglect.
As always when no responsible government employee with trust responsibilities is to be found, the tribe’s local community gave all the support needed.
At this time we would like to thank them, ( the community of Morada ) and also Walmart Stores Inc. and Food For Less Stores Inc.
As always also our tribal elder and distribution director, Mildred Burley.
