The California Valley Miwok Tribe thanks all those who sent gifts, cards and holiday email greetings.
The Tribe is still struggling to keep its programs running and its tribal officers have even acquired additional employment to assist in keeping its governmental offices open.
We as with all true tribal peoples do not operate the Tribe as a job, but as a people whom are vested by blood, culture and lineage.
So when the holiday season approached and the Tribe received the amount of correspondence that they have this year, it is elating to know so many understand the plight and acknowledge the struggles that the peoples of this tribe still endure.
At this time, we would like to thank all tribes, Indian organizations, government officials and businesses in Indian Country listed below for remembering to include us during this festive season.
We thank all of you and hope you had a festive holiday season and wish the best for all of you in the new year.
