On Thursday, October 18th, 2012, the California Valley Miwok Tribe held their monthly USDA Food Distribution. CVMT staffer Tiger Paulk and Tule River staffer Mr. Ronald Buckman loaded carts with boxes of food to be picked up by recipients. The distribution was held later in the evening, but that didn’t deter attendees from traveling to the CVMT Tribal Offices to pick up their monthly food allotments.
The California Valley Miwok Tribe would like to thank the Tule River Rancheria and its USDA FDIR (Food Distribution on Indian Reservations) Program Director Richard McDarment, USDA FDIR Intake Manager Mrs. Patricia Salas, and Mr. Ronald Buckman, USDA FDIR Staff & driver.
Also, we extend our thanks to the San Joaquin Native American Veterans Lodge Commander Richard “Windfeathers” Muniz, Lodge Member Freddie M. Canez and Lodge Member Mike Trujillo for the recently replenished donation of bottled water that has once again been made available to give to recipients, along with the food distributions.
