The California Valley Miwok Tribe held the March 2021 Food Distribution on Monday, March 15th. It had rained and even snowed earlier in the day but at the time of the distribution, the sun had all but removed any signs of the weather conditions faced earlier in the day making for another unencumbered distribution.
Along with this was the good news of assured distributions in the forthcoming weeks which will give much needed additional help for all tribal citizens and every participant in the program as all qualify under the current guidelines.
Vaccinations, less restrictive social distancing and counties and businesses starting to open up we are about to experience whatever is the new norm rather than being imprisoned in isolation by the unseen enemy called Covid-19, but still we have to practice caution.
It is time for all of us to get some semblance of our lives back and during the worst of it, we are grateful that for our citizens and other participants who depended on this program that we were allowed to provide this service to them.
We would like to thank the United States Department of Agriculture, ( USDA ), the Tule River Tribe, the Tule River Food Distribution Department and to Distribution Specialists Ronald Buckman and Naz for always getting our deliveries to us on schedule.
