On Tuesday, July 19th, 2016, the California Valley Miwok Tribe held its monthly “USDA Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations” (FDPIR).
California Valley Miwok Tribe staff members and volunteers were pleased to see some familiar faces today, as well as a break from the heat during today’s food distribution. As some of the participants of this program experience changes in their lives which may facilitate a greater need for this service, we continue to be thankful for our strong partnership with the Tule River FDPIR coordinators and staff for enabling us to make this service available to our tribal members and local Native American community.
To learn more about the monthly USDA Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) you may can contact the California Valley Miwok Tribe at (209) 931-4567, or via email at office@cvmt.net. A USDA Food Distribution application (in pdf format) can be emailed to you upon request.
The California Valley Miwok Tribe would like to thank the Tule River Reservation, Mr. Richard McDarment – USDA FDPIR Director, Mrs. Patricia Salas – USDA FDPIR Intake Manager and USDA FDPIR staff members Mr. Ronald Buckman and Jesus Salas for their hard work and continued dedication to helping those in need. Thank you!
