The California Valley Miwok Tribe held the January 2021 Food Distribution on Monday, January 18th.
This month saw another expansion to the program with still more participants enrolling and taking advantage of the tribes’ delivery service that is now included in the ( FFTF ) Food For Tribal Families Program.
The tribe is happy that these deliveries may in some small part help to alleviate the need and additional risks that those we serve may face during repeated trips to town in buying alternate foods if not for these distributions.
With the epidemic still upon us and mutating strains being more contagious than ever, the tribe hope’s all exercise extreme caution as we ourselves are all too aware due to our own recent experiences Covid is something you do not want to deal with .
We would like to thank the ( USDA ) United States Department of Agriculture for working with tribes to make this program available.
We would like to thank the Tule River Tribe and especially their Food Distribution Department for implementing this program and for being the service hub to numerous participating tribes, the California Valley Miwok Tribe being among them.
Also to Program Food Specialists Ronald Buckman and Naz for making sure no matter the obstacle that our deliveries are always on time and according to schedule.
