On Friday, January 19th, 2018, the California Valley Miwok Tribe held its first monthly USDA Food Distribution (USDA FDPIR) of the new year.
Each month, qualified participating households receive a USDA food allotment to help them maintain a nutritionally balanced diet.
Eligible participants of the USDA FDPIR program commonly receive items such as:
•Packaged frozen meats
•Canned meats, vegetables, fruits and soups
•Dry packaged beans, rice and noodles
•Dried fruits, nuts and crackers
•Fresh and powdered dairy products such as cheese, milk and eggs
•Assortment of fruit juices
