On Thursday, January 21st, 2016, the California Valley Miwok Tribe held its first monthly USDA Food Distribution event of the year. As we look towards entering our sixth year of operating the food distribution program in conjunction with the Tule River Tribe, we think of all of those struggling families and individuals whom have appealed to us in their time of need and were able to benefit from the availability of this program.
As such, we continue to feel grateful for the strong partnership that allows us to bring this program to our local community and we look forward to the continuation of this program for years to come.
Anyone wishing to participate in our monthly food distribution may request to receive a USDA Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) application by mail, e-mail or fax, by contacting the California Valley Miwok Tribe by e-mail at office@cvmt.net or by phone at (209) 931-4567.
