Dear Relatives,

On behalf of the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, I am writing to extend a special invitation for a free virtual workshop on July 16 at 9 a.m. Please join the effort to increase the number of American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) students that apply for and receive financial aid to help pay for their college education.

The Chancellor’s Office has teamed up with the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) to present free Train the Trainer workshops where you will be trained to help AI/AN students and parents complete the FAFSA application. We are extending this invitation to our tribal community partners and American Indian Community organizations to participate in a Cash for College Train the Trainer virtual workshop on July 16 at 9:00 a.m. This workshop will have special emphasis on financial aid outreach for AI/AN students.

Please see the attached flyer for details about the workshops and why it’s important to register today for a Cash for College Train the Trainer workshop. Once you are certified, you will be eligible to host your very own Cash for College workshops for AI/AN students! Together, we can make sure that deserving students get the financial help they need to attend college and secure a brighter future.

A member of our team will call this week to follow-up, or feel free to use the contact information on the flyer should you have questions that we can help answer about the workshop.

Thank you!
