On Sunday, March 28th, 2021, the California Valley Miwok Tribe delivered to tribal “Food For Tribal Families” Director, Mildred Burley, this month’s distribution to be disbursed among the tribes federally recognized citizen families.
This was another great distribution with many giving selflessly to the benefit of tribal families in the absence of trust responsibility fulfillment, due to the malfeasance of the Bureau of Indian Affairs / Central California Agency leadership, or lack thereof.
This month also has seen added resources due to tribal support being given by the United States Department of Agriculture, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the California Office of Emergency Services.
We also are thankful to Walmart Stores Inc. and Food For Less Stores Inc. for not only the abundance of frozen meats but also for the additional donations of dry and canned food items.
We would like to thank the USDA, FEMA, Cal OES, Walmart Stores Inc., Food For Less Stores Inc., Morada and its surrounding communities and our Program Director, Mildred Burley for her untiring dedication to this program.
