On Thursday, September 13th, 2012, CVMT Vice Chairperson Anjelica Paulk awarded 16-year-old Tribal Member Tristian Wallace with a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Artwork. Tristian has been drawing since she was three years old. It is her passion and her hope for the future is to become a graphic designer.

Tristian was asked to design an image of a bear and a mountain lion onto a traditional Miwok rattle. She did such an outstanding job that the Tribe wanted to show their appreciation for her efforts by awarding her with a Certificate of Recognition for her talented artwork and continued contribution to preserving the Miwok culture.

There is no doubt that Tristian’s positive attitude will carry her far. The Tribe believes that she will accomplish her goal of becoming a graphic designer, and therefore, proudly encourages Tristian to use her drawing skills to create many wonderful expressions of art in all future endeavors. Congratulations, Tristian!!!! A certificate well deserved.
