On Friday, April 20th, 2018, the California Valley Miwok Tribe delivered this month’s donations acquired under the Food For Tribal Families, (FFTF) to its Distribution Director tribal elder Mildred Burley.
Mildred makes sure that the Tribe’s local Indian population’s nutritional needs are at the very least supplemented while waiting for those at the the government level whom are entrusted with this responsibility to fulfill the duties of their office.
The residents of the local Morada community and surrounding area, along with the local Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., gave generously this month in providing an especially large amount of frozen and fresh meats.
A lot of activity and good fortune has come the Tribe’s way since the end of last year and as such, the Tribe remains hopeful and optimistic that issues wrought upon it may soon cease to exist.
Until such time, the Tribe shall continue to endeavor to care for and support its true citizens, which is the history of all true tribes.
The California Valley Miwok Tribe would like to thank the town of Morada and the surrounding communities, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., and especially our Distribution Director and tribal elder Mildred Burley, all of whom are responsible for the continued success of this program.
As a special note, we wish our tribal elder Mildred Burley a Happy Birthday. Mildred turns 81 on the 25th and is an inspiration to all true members of her tribe.
