The California Valley Miwok Tribe held this month’s food distribution on Tuesday, May 17th, 2022.
This month’s distribution was plentiful and the weather was good with a nice array of mixed items for all recipients.
All deliveries along with the upcoming Food For Tribal Families distribution will also include extra Covid re-supply.
It seems like Covid and its variants, like escalating inflation and higher gas prices, are here to stay.
To address delivery costs, the tribe has been working with recipients to ensure deliveries are still the best economical option.
Community continuing to work together in the face of local BIA whom continually falter in fulfilling their trust responsibilities.
As of yet no word of where current AS/IA Bryan Newland is on our issue, but with all the malfeasance committed against our tribal citizens in detriment to their sovereign rights, he has much to sift through to make sense of how things have come to be.
We are patiently hopeful that all shall be revealed that we may be even unaware of and that the full truth will come out about all bad actors both governmental, corporate and individual who have been involved in criminal activity against our Native American community.
