There are going to be very happy recipients including a few tribal citizen families when the tribe makes personal deliveries over the next few days.

The California Valley Miwok Tribe held this month’s USDA Food Distribution on Monday, September 20th, 2021.

Weather was perfect, warm, clear skies and a slight breeze. Due to the amount of containment of current wildfires, there was not even the hint or smell of smoke in the air.

Hopefully, those that were impacted will get the necessary assistance to rebuild their lives and complete containment will be achieved before others are also impacted by the devastation.

With our recall election over more time can be spent addressing the needs of our citizens, and one need that was promised by our current Governor who retained his office was stimulus monies being paid out from state held reserves following the federal guidelines for eligibility.

Let’s see if this promise is made good.
