The California Valley Miwok Tribe wishes to apologize to all that may have had an interest in higher education and the tribes attempt on the sharing of information received and subsequently posted as the official site was compromised soon after without our knowledge.
The site as shown by the reader’s ability to read this posting has now been fully restored with all protections necessary in hope to avert any future intrusions into the tribe’s sharing of program updates and sharing of information to benefit all, if not just our indigenous readers.
As of this writing, forensic experts are looking into the sources, IP links, addresses and servers so far uncovered and along with advice from law enforcement over possible motives and benefits, it appears that this attack was originally orchestrated through a location in the California bay area.
It just so happens that the only beneficiary to the attack, ” which unplugged photo’s accompanying stories, took away link’s to site and changed and locked our site into Japanese script ” was a fictitious .com site that also happens to be from the bay area which went to the top of the search engine. It purports to represent the tribe, but is mostly an obituary page that attacks true tribal interests and offers nothing of benefit to the Native American community.
So belated by the nefarious actions of individual / individuals and as evidenced by the story below the tribe shall not be silenced.
The California Valley Miwok Tribe held its USDA Food Distribution on Monday, July 19th, 2021. Although it was a little warm, it was a great distribution.
The importance of these distributions may become more vital to our recipients due to discussion of new Covid-19 variants and ongoing talk of possible future shutdowns.
Doing all we can as a tribe in distributing food and Covid supplies monthly, in doing our part in keeping as many people safe and healthy as possible is an endeavor that the tribe is wholly committed to.
We would like to thank The United States Department of Agriculture, ( USDA ) the Tule River Tribe, The Tule River Tribe Food Distribution Department and Specialist’s Ronald Buckman and Naz.
